Air India - All about Air India


Air India is the state owned flight service provider in India having its headquarters at Nariman Point Mumbai. It is one of the oldest airline in the republic of India. The Airline is a part of Indian Government owned National Aviation of Company Limited.

The Airline operates with aircrafts from Air Bus and Boeing with flights serving to Asia,Europe and North America etc. Air India is valued as 16th largest Airline in Asia and also it has two major hubs at Indira Gandhi International Airport , New Delhi and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport , Mumbai.

Recently Star Alliance announced on 13 December 2007 that it had invited Air India to join as a member. Air India is all set to become a full Star Alliance member by summer 2011.

Air India have two subsidiaries namely Air India Cargo and Air India Express ,
